<p>A scavenger receptor A expression regulating agent and a preventive/remedy for arteriosclerosis which comprise, as the active ingredient, a spherical region in the C-terminal side of adiponectin, adiponectin or a gene thereof. Thus, it is possible to provide a preventive/remedy for arteriosclerosis which regulates the expression of scavenger receptor A of the arterial wall, thus inhibits the accumulation of lipids in microphages and prevents the onset and progress of arteriosclerosis to thereby directly prevent endangium from thickening (i.e., the entity of arteriosclerosis).</p> |
