Biologically-active filter system for a building comprises a pressure resistant, surface-absorbent, floor web with under-floor cavities and air-passage grids connecting with the living/working space and with a dimple construction (e.g. egg packaging / horticultural propagating tray) absorbent, separating panels between the occupied and bio-processing space. An Independent claim is included for a process of covering composite, solid floors with a foam, PVC or carpet covering to provide a biologically active layer (bio-layer).
