A portable gas cooker comprises a rectangular metal base-plate having its long sides bent upwardly to form side walls 4 with inturned flanges 5 at the top, and its short sides slit and bent downwardly to form feet 2. Inverted U-shaped members D pass through perforations in the opposed flanges 5 and in lugs bent in from the side walls 4 to form a pan-support. The stove has a central transverse stiffening rib 9, which has a hole 10 for connection to a gas cylinder, and clips 11 1 for holding gas burners in place. A gas connector C with taps 18 and nipples 17 may be mounted at one end of the rib 9, burners B connected to the nipples 17 being secured to the clips 11, and a gas supply tube 20 extending to a connection at the back. In another embodiment, Figs. 7 and 8 (not shown), the hole in the rib 9 carries a connector which co-operates with a gas cylinder, legs of metal rod engaging holes in the feet 2 and forming part of a frame securing the gas cylinder.</p> |
