A personal care device including a main housing, a steam compartment, steam generating means and reciprocating motion generating means. The steam compartment includes a top portion and a base portion which are spaced apart, the top portion includes a canopy part overhanging part of the base portion and a foot aperture sized to allow passage of a user's foot and projecting over the base portion, the aperture being surrounded by an upstanding wall which extends generally away from said base portion.
