The light source may give a constant comparatively low level of illumination with occasional high-intensity flashes e.g. for photography. It uses one or more xenon LED's for the constant low-level illumination and uses a xenon flash tube to give short high-intensity flashes. The LED's and the flash tube are all accommodated in one lamp housing and may have a common reflector.
