<p>A method for producing a purified ultraviolet ray absorbing agent, characterized in that it comprises an adsorbing agent treatment step of contacting an ultraviolet ray absorbing agent directly with an adsorbing agent without the use of a solvent. The method allows the production of a purified ultraviolet ray absorbing agent having reduced odor and being excellent in safety and improved in color, with excellent industrial productivity (reduced production cost), reduced adverse effect on the environment, a reduced number of process steps and high safety during production.</p> |
