#CMT# #/CMT# A borosilicate glass composition, expressed as percentages by oxide weight, is as follows: SiO 255-80; B 2O 38-25; Al 2O 30.5-10; Li 2O + Na 2O + K 2O 1-16; MgO + CaO + SrO + BaO 0-6; ZnO 0-3; ZrO 20-5; Bi 2O 30-5; MoO 30-3; and Bi 2O 3+ MoO 30.01-5. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used as a borosilicate glass used to manufacture fluorescent lamps (claimed) including miniature fluorescent lamps (claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The glass has improved transmission in the visible spectrum. Thermal expansion is well-matched to that of tungsten or Kovar(RTM), a 15-25% cobalt alloy used to make specific glass-to-metal seals.
