METHODS AND REAGENTS FOR REMOVING CONTAMINANTS FROM BIOMOLECULES

Methods and reagents are provided for removing contaminants from preparations containing a target biomolecule. Binding molecules are prepared that selectively bind contaminating molecules that co-purify with the target biomolecule and are used as affinity reagents to remove the contaminating molecules from the target biomolecule. Affinity reagents also are provided that are useful for removing contaminants from a preparation containing a target biomolecule.
