A sample carrier comprises a housing (1) with a cylindrical recess in which is fitted a hollow cylinder (3) which serves to accommodate bearings (2) and is externally formed as a pulley, and comprises a cylinder (4), which extends into that part holding the bearings and forms the inner bearing ring and at least partially extends beyond the outer side of the housing (1), or is connected to a further section (5), and forms a restricting ring (6) for the upper seal of the bearing chamber. The restricting ring (6) of the pulley and/or the cylinder is retained by a locking tab (7). All components are predominantly manufactured in non-ferromagnetic material.
