A method for providing a container provided with a pressure compensation device constituted by a hydrophobic membrane (10). The method uses a mold composed of a male element (2) and a female element (3) which form, in the closed position, a compartment (9) which is shaped like the container to be obtained. The male element (2) and the female element (3) are provided with raised portions (4, 5), between which the membrane (10) is arranged so as to leave the border region free.
