The invention relates to an exhaust-gas turbine for a turbocharger whose turbine wheel is rotationally mounted inside a turbine housing having a spiral intake port (13), to which an annular space (8) surrounding the turbine wheel is connected. A vane ring (9) is provided near the outer periphery of the turbine wheel inside an axially offset annular gap (3) between the turbine housing and an inner guide (4), and the face of the vane ring oriented away from the annular space is connected in a fixed manner to axially oriented journals (6) that extend through borings of a motion link (7), which is fixed to the housing. In addition, said vane ring can be axially slid into the annular space by means of a sliding sleeve (5) that acts upon the ends of the journals (6). The vane ring (9) comprises guide vanes (10) between two cover discs (11, 12) that are situated on the face. Cover disc (11) that faces the annular space covers the annular gap when the vane ring (9) is located inside the annular gap (3), whereas cover disc (12) closes the annular gap when the vane ring is located inside the annular space. The invention provides that the journals (6) are joined to the sliding sleeve (5) with material fit after the axial slide (2) and the sliding sleeve (5) are mounted on the inner guide.
