PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified bottom paper cup free from leakage, having high sealability and stacking property compared with a known paper cup with a fake bottom having a bottom coaming part. SOLUTION: This modified bottom paper cup is formed of a fan-shaped blank formed of a paper-based laminate. A cylindrical body has a barrel wall with a rectangular lower opening and an expanded upper opening. A bottom folding panel facing a lower part of the cylindrical body is folded inwardly while the panel is folded inwardly at each diagonal rule, and at the same time, a remaining facing bottom panel is folded inwardly. Rib parts continuous to lower sides of the bottom folding panel and the bottom panel are horizontally heat-sealed to each other to form a rib overlapping part in an H-shaped overlapping manner. The rib overlapping part is collapsed to one side and folded flat, and adhered to the bottom panel to form the flat rectangular bottom part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
