The device is in the form of a deck (1) for centralized control of opening and closing of the four side windows of an automobile vehicle and comprises switches for individual selection of the window to actuate. The number of switches controlling the motion of front windows is equal to two, but if a selection device is preliminary actuated, for example by pressing, in order to affect the control of the rear window during a predetermined period, at the end of that period it automatically reassigns the control to the front windows. The selection device and at least one of the switches are actuated by the same control organ having two degrees of freedom of motion, where one is for the window selection and the other is for their actuation. The deck (1) comprises two drums (2,3) as control organs whose direction of rotation determines the opening or the closing of the windows; the drums can also be subjected to a pulsed radial displacement which determines the choice of the window to actuate. If the rotational motion is preceded by pressing in the direction of an arrow (F), the rear windows are selected for the predetermined period, which is set to about 10 s. In a variant of the device, a unique control cylinder can rotate in two directions corresponding to the opening and the windows, or at extremities for selecting the window to actuate. The selection device consists of a distinct control organ for switches whose manipulation performs latching for the assignment of the switches. The switches actuating the windows allow for slow or fast displacement of the windows. The device comprises a control organ whose actuation allows to reassign the switches to the front windows functioning; the control organ is merged with the selection device, and it is active only after the first actuation of the selection device. A method (claimed) for managing the opening and the closing of the windows of an automobile vehicle by the control deck (claimed) is implemented by an electronic existence of an action on the selection device, the assignment of switches to the rear windows, the activation of a motor corresponding to the selected window, the counting of the predetermined time without detecting the action of the switches, and the reassignment of the switches to the front windows. |
