<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoreceptor having high reproducibility of gradation and hardly producing a visible moire pattern, and to provide a method and a device for forming an image in which a moire pattern is hardly visible, high cleaning property for toner is obtained for a long time, and a sharp electrophotographic image can be formed when the above organic photoreceptor and a polymerization toner are used. <P>SOLUTION: In the organic photoreceptor having a coating layer on a cylindrical substrate, deviation in the film thickness of the coating layer in a substantial image forming region is 0.2 to 2.0 μm. The average PWS of the power spectra of the reflected light quantity in a region from 0 to 2 mm<SP>-1</SP>spatial frequencies measured at λm exposure wavelength of the imagewise exposure light and the average P of the reflected light quantity are in the relation expressed by formula 1: 0<(PWS/P<SP>2</SP>)<5.0×10<SP>-4</SP>mm<SP>-1</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
