<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print charging system which can reduce the user's cost for print processing operation in unit time. <P>SOLUTION: A print service system which records images by using a recording device for recording image and charges for every outputted print has a down-sequence mode wherein a printing operation is carried out with lower productivity to maintain fixing performance if fixing temperature falls in the printing operation and calculates a print charge yd yen for each image outputted in the down-sequence mode from yd=α×y×(m/m), where y is the print charge for each normal sheet, (m) normal productivity (sheets/minute, (n) productivity in the down-sequence mode (n sheets/minute), and α a print charge correction coefficient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
