<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MICR character printer for printing MICR characters having a font shape with the size set by specifications being partially processed so as to prevent an undershooting from being brought about by density irregularities included in MICR characters in a magnetic read/reproduced waveform when MICR characters are read. <P>SOLUTION: For example, for preventing the undershooting from being brought about by density irregularities included in the MICR character [Transit Symbol] in the magnetic read/reproduced waveform read by an MICR reader, a character font is provided, which is a processed font wherein dots U1, D1, U2 and D2 of corner parts opposite to each other in a scanning direction (arrow direction in the figure) by a magnetic head at parts T-1 and T-2 for constituting the character font are reduced by a predetermined number (chamfered) with respect to the font shape (B) set by the specifications. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
