摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration due to abrasion of a connection part of a joint member and both shafts by applying a means for avoiding axial move ment to a joint member connecting an electric motor rotation shaft outputting an auxiliary steering force with a gear shaft of a gear transmission mechanism, and suppressing rottling accompanied with the axial movement of the joint member, in an electric power steering device. <P>SOLUTION: The auxiliary steering force from a rotation shaft 1 of an electric motor 4 is transmitted to a worm shaft 2 of a worm gear mechanism 5 via a joint member 3, and the joint member 3 is cuppled with the motor rotation shaft 1 via a torque limiter 3a. The joint member 3 is cuppled with the worm shaft 2 via a serration 3b. The joint member 3 is clamped and nipped by a plate spring 3C as an elastic member between two bearings 1a, 2a on both axial end faces, so as to restrain the axial movement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
