<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display in which an image having a high resolution and a long depth of focus is available. <P>SOLUTION: The image display is provided with an object optical system 8 which emits an afocal luminous flux on the basis of a luminous flux emitted from an object to be detected 7, a varying means of luminous flux diameter 30 which passes a part of the afocal luminous flux and varies the diameter of the passed afocal luminous flux, an image capturing means 50 which captures optical images on the basis of the afocal luminous flux passed through the varying means of luminous flux diameter 30, in which the captured images successively vary corresponding to the variation of the diameter of the afocal luminous flux, an image superimposing means 21 which classifies the successively varying images for every diameter of the afocal luminous flux and superimposes the classified images, a superimposing ratio setting means 25 which sets the ratio of image superimposing, and an image display means 60 which displays the image superimposed by the image superimposing means 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
