METHOD FOR SUPPRESSING DEACTIVATION OF PROTEIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stabilizing a protein which suppresses deactivation of the protein as much as possibly without suppressing deactivation of endotoxin in a surfactant treatment because, in some cases, the objective protein reduces its activity caused by degradation and denaturation when the protein containing the endotoxin is treated by the surfactant treatment to deactivate the endotoxin. SOLUTION: This method solves the problems by adding an amino acid, sugars or a polyol as a stabilizer to a solution of the protein containing the endotoxin and then subjecting the protein to the surfactant treatment.
