PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase removal-free force of a support shaft only by carrying out notch-calking to an axial end surface of the shaft when the support shaft is mounted to a body in the state where the support shaft is removal-free in a cam follower. SOLUTION: The support shaft 3 is fitted into through holes 12A, 12B of a pair of side walls 6, 7 of the body 2 and is removalfree/fixed by carrying out the notch-calking to the end surface of this support shaft 3. Height and volume of a claw 14 obtained by the notch-calking are made largest by projecting the support shaft 3 further than an outer opening end of the through holes 12A, 12B of the side walls 6, 7. A base side of this claw 14 is pressed to the outer opening edge of the through holes of the side walls. Thereby, the claw 14 hardly falls down when an axial load is applied to the support shaft 3 and the removal-free force of the support shaft 3 is increased as compared with the conventional one.
