<p>Amine derivatives The title cpds. of formula (I) or its acid addn. salts: (where R' = an alkyl gp; R2 = an acyl gp, Y = a direct bond such that the 2 benzene rings, together with Y, form a biphenyl gp or Y = a condensation bond such that the 2 benzene rings together with Y, form a naphthyl ring). Preferably the cpds. are prepd. by reacting the amine R1NH2 with cpd. (II) where Z = or -CHOH. CH2-Z' (Z' V hal.) or with a mixture of cpds. II, where Z may have either of the above meanings. The free base which ppts is optionally treated with acid to give the salt of I. Uses are in treatment of heart diseases, e.g.hypertension and angina pectoris.</p> |
