<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which is even, transparent, negative in birefringence characteristics, and extremely excellent in optical characteristics; a laminated polarizing plate with the optical film laminated thereon; and a liquid crystal display device and a selfluminous display device using them. <P>SOLUTION: This is an optical film obtained by coating at least one kind of a polymer which is selected from a group consists of polyetherketone, polyacryl etherketone, polyether etherketone onto a base material. This optical film satisfies all the formulas from (1) to (3), and its birefringence is within the range of 0.0005 to 0.1. nx>xy>nz (1) 3nm≤(nx-ny)×d (2) (nx-nz)/(nx-ny)>1 (3) (From the formula (1) to formula (3), nx and ny are a main refractive index in a flat surface of a film, nz is a refractive index in the thickness direction of a film, and (d) is the thickness of a film). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
