<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wick structural body capable of sufficiently obtaining the uniformity in the formation of metal containing membrane and the reproducibility of quality and performance as a wick by simple operation and eliminating boundary face peeling of a metallic layer by forming a metal-rich ceramic layer by a surface layer part of the wick structural body. <P>SOLUTION: A core metal unit 3 is mounted in a rubber pipe 2, and mixed powders 4 are filled around the core metal unit 3 to apply isotropic compression. A metal containing layer 5 made of mixed powders 4 is formed around the core metal unit 3, the core metal unit 3 in which the metal containing layer 5 is formed around it is mounted in a rubber pipe 2a, and ceramic fiber granulation powders 6 are filled around the core metal unit 3 to apply isotropic compression. A ceramic fiber granulation powder layer 6a is formed on an upper layer of the metal containing layer 5, and mixed powders 4 are filled around a molded body to apply isotropic compression. A molded body constituted by covering a surface part of the ceramic fiber granulation powder layer 6a by metal containing layers 7, 8, 9 and the metal containing layer 5 is manufactured. This molded body is baked and a plurality of thin channels are formed on a surface of the baked body to form the wick structural body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
