PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jack for adjusting the verticality of a steel-framed column, which enables each of upper and lower receiving fittings to be moved in such a manner as to be guided only in a vertical direction, by preventing the horizontal turning of the receiving fittings for being detachably fixed to an upper column or a lower column. SOLUTION: A longitudinal screw rod 26, which is arranged inside a longitudinal guide frame 11 equipped with an inside guide surface, is turnably supported in a fixed position on the guide frame 11. In the screw rod 26, a driven part is provided in an intermediate part, and male screw parts, different in screw direction, are provided in upper and lower parts. The receiving fitting 17, which is to be screwed into the screw rod 26 on the upper inside of the guide frame 11 and detachably fixed to the upper column, and the receiving fitting 19, which is to be screwed into the screw rod 26 on the lower inside of the guide frame 11 and detachably fixed to the lower column, are constituted in such a manner as to freely get closer to/get away from each other.
