PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible display which has light weight and whose shape is thin and which has flexibility and whose performance is high. SOLUTION: In this display device, a display element part 2 consisting of a plurality of display elements 21 and a semiconductor thin film 1 in which a plurality of switching circuit parts for image formation 11 each of which drives the display element 21 are formed are laminated. Moreover, the semiconductor thin film 1 is formed on the separating layer 19 of a semiconductor substrate 18 and the switching circuit parts 11 are formed thereto. Thereafter, the display device which has light weight and whose shape is thin and which has flexibility is manufactured by separating the semiconductor thin film 1 from the separating layer 19 and by laminating the display element part 2 on the thin film 1.
