Single stage thin steel strip annealing

Single stage, thin steel strip annealing Process and apparatus enables thin strip annealing and planing to be carried out in a single step. The apparatus consists of a sealed chamber which the strip enters over roller motors. It is then heated to the annealing temp. in a separate compartment followed by rapid colling to a temp. of 300-450 degrees C and isothermal return and regulation of strip tension. It is then passed over two rollers of diam. 80 mm which produces the required degree of hardening, followed by evacuation from the apparatus. Produces strip whose mechanical and structural properties conform to international standards.
