PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens for a Greenough stereomicroscope which consists of fewer lens groups, is mechanically simple, is low in cost and has sufficient optical performance. SOLUTION: The zoom lens used for the Greenough stereomicroscope having a pair of optical systems arranged to intersect their optical axes with each other comprises a first group having positive refracting power, a second group having negative refracting power, and a third group having positive refracting power, performs variable magnification by changing the spacings between the respective lens groups and satisfies the following conditions: 0.52/f1<-0.29.
