PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pleated screen which is varied and innovative in design. SOLUTION: The screen 14 is pleated at predetermined intervals in the vertical direction, and an upper edge of the screen 14 is mounted in a head box 12, followed by attaching a bottom rail 16 to a lower edge of the screen 14. Then, a first lifting cord 30 hung from the head box 12 in an ascendable/ descendable manner is connected to the bottom rail 16 to ascend/descend the first lifting cord 30, to thereby fold or expand the screen 14. Further, the bottom rail 16 is rendered bendable near the center thereof, and a second lifting cord 32 hung from the head box 16 in an ascendable/descendable manner is connected to a bent portion 26 or a portion near the center of the bottom rail 6. When the second lifting cord 32 is ascended, the bottom rail 16 is bent to raise the bent portion 26 of the bottom rail 16, to thereby change the contour of the screen 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
