PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file which is equipped with a file main body having a front cover part and a rear cover part which form a pair of the front and the rear, or in addition to them, a back cover part, and a sheet material which is bonded to the front surface or an internal surface of any one of the front cover part, the rear cover part and the back cover part of the file main body, and which has a high safety for users or form papers or the like bound inside and a favorable appearance as well. SOLUTION: Recesses 25 and 27 are formed by indenting certain parts on the front surface 23a or the internal surface 21b of the file main body 2 corresponding to certain areas 31, 41a, 41b and 41c on the peripheral edges of the sheet materials 3 and 4. The sheet materials 3 and 4 are bonded to the file main body 2 by locating the peripheral edges of the sheet materials 3 and 4 in the recesses 25 and 27 so that the top parts 32a, and 42a of protruding parts 32 and 42 which are exposed to reverse pasting surfaces 3a and 4a on the peripheral edge of the sheet material 3 may become approximately flush with or lower than the front surface 23a or the internal surface 21b of the file main body 2 corresponding to the top parts 32a and 42a.
