1,249,866. Reactive dyes. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. 21 Feb., 1969 [7 March, 1968], No. 11184/68. Heading C4P. The invention comprises water-soluble reactive dyes of formula wherein R is H or alkyl and D-NR- is the radical of a water-soluble dye containing a -NHR group. The dyes may be prepared by reacting cyanuric chloride in either order, with 1 molar proportion of a dye D-NH-R and with ¢ molar proportion of a diamino-diphenoxyethane-disulphonic acid. In the case of azo dyes, the dyestuff amine may be replaced by that of a diazo or coupling component with subsequent formation of the azo dye. The dyes may be used to colour cellulose fibres by the usual reactive dye processes. In examples the preparation of dyes of the stilbene-azo, phthalocyanine, disazo, tetrakisazo, metallized azo, anthraquinone and nitro series is described.
|
