<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing unit capable of quickly printing printing data received from a host unit, and a printing method. <P>SOLUTION: A communication controlling part 16 for receiving integrated printing data from a host unit 30, a header separating part 17 for separating header data and printing data, a printing controlling part 26 for analyzing the separated header data and executing a printing preliminary process, and a data transfer part 18 for transferring the printing data to a printing buffer 27 are provided. Thereby, the received printing data can be transferred immediately to the printing buffer 27. Moreover, by analyzing the header data and executing the transfer process of the printing data to the printing buffer 27 simultaneously, the printing operation can be started quickly after receiving the integrated printing data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
