<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Nemacystus decipiens extract which does not irrigate the skin, does not roughen the skin, has high safety, and has a high cell- activating action and a high melamine production-inhibiting action, and to provide a skin care preparation which contains the Nemacystus decipiens extract, has high safety, can effectively prevent and improve skin ageing symptoms and skin roughening symptoms, and exhibits a high bleaching effect. <P>SOLUTION: This purified Nemacystus decipiens extract is obtained by further subjecting a Nemacystus decipiens Aqueous solvent extract to a supercritical extraction method using carbon dioxide as a solvent to remove a non-polar fraction. The purified Nemacystus decipiens extract activates epidermal cells and dermic fibroblasts without exhibiting cytotoxicity and has a high melamine production-inhibiting action. When applied to the skin, the purified Nemacystus decipiens extract exhibits high safety, can effectively prevent and improve the skin ageing symptoms and the skin roughening symptoms, and exhibits a high bleaching effect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
