<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print controller performing print control of various print media accurately based on various control patterns each consisting of a power generation value and an integrated energy value. <P>SOLUTION: The print controller comprises a means for prestoring a plurality of target power generation values, a plurality of target driving time values or integrated heat generation energy values, a thermal head consisting of a collection of heaters each serving as a heating element and a temperature detecting element, a means for driving each heater to generate heat, a means for detecting instantaneous power generation of each heater, and a means for controlling the driving means to generate heat until one target power generation value is reached and performing control such that one target driving time or integrated energy generation value is reached when the target power generation value is reached while holding power generation of the heater at that power value and repeating that procedure for other target power generation value, target driving time or integrated heat generation energy value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
