<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost roller bearing wherein a retainer at a low temperature time and a bearing acoustic performance at a high temperature and improved, and the lifetime of the acoustic characteristics is prolonged in a wide rotating condition from a high-speed rotation to a low-speed rotation. <P>SOLUTION: The roller bearing comprises a plurality of rolling elements rotatably held by the retainer between an inner race and an outer race, and a grease sealed therein. The retainer is a waveform pressing retainer having a specific pocket shape. The grease contains a base oil having a kinematic viscosity of 30 to 150 mm<SP>2</SP>/s at 40°C and containing an ester oil as an indispensable component, and at least one densifier selected out of a lithium salt of a fatty acid not containing a hydroxyl group, a lithium salt of a fatty acid containing a hydroxyl group, and their mixtures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
