PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave signal processing system that can secure sharp directivity even the system has a small size and low computing ability, by estimating the direction to a wave source and using the information on the estimated direction, and to provide a method of processing wave signals. SOLUTION: The system is provided with at least one set of sensor groups each constituted of at least two sensors, finds the difference signal between wave signals detected by means of two arbitrary sensors of each group of sensors. At the same time, the differential signal of wave signals detected by means of at least one sensor, and discriminates the sign of the delay time between the wave signals detected by means of the two sensors based on the combination of the signs of the difference signal and differential signal and the positional relation between the sensors.
