PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water jacket for a cylinder head for effectively cooling a region between two exhaust ports where heat is most concentrated by smoothing the flow of cooling water through a central path formed between the two exhaust ports. SOLUTION: The water jacket for a cylinder head is characterized in that a restricted portion 1 reducing the flow cross-section area of a lower path L is provided upstream of a point where the lower path L and the central path C meet.
