PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely adjust characteristics of operation amount/engine speed easily in response to various requirements. SOLUTION: This engine control device of construction machine is constituted such that a set switch 5 is operated while an accelerator pedal 1 is operated, a pedal operation amount at this time is received by a controller as an operation amount at a maximum engine speed to adjust an operation range, and based on the characteristics of the adjusted operation amount/engine speed, an electronic governor 6 is made to indicate the engine speed.
