PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulation unit of an auxiliary machine for an engine which suppresses the rise of the temperature of the machine and enhances its sound insulation. SOLUTION: A sound insulation cover 2 is disposed on the periphery of an alternator 4 mounted in the engine 6. A plurality of recesses 11, 11 are formed in space on the inner surface side of the cover 2, and are each formed in a sectional curved shape. Through holes 12, 12 passing through the inside and the outside of the cover 2 are formed between the recesses 11 and 11. Further, an air guide tube 3 for supplying cooling air to the holes 12 is provided at the upper part of the engine 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
