A receiving system for the purpose of making it possible to receive radio wave broadcast with high sensitivity irrespective of the location of a portable terminal, and comprising a receiver and a portable terminal. If command means of the portable terminal issues a specific command, control means of the receiver at least selects a signal which communication means sends on the basis of that command information. Furthermore, conversion means of the receiver converts information of a specific form into information of another specific form adapted for reproduction at the portable terminal. Hereby, the portable terminal can receive from the receiver information adapted for the portable terminal and reproduce the information. <IMAGE>
