PURPOSE: A method for printing a document is provided to restrict the fall of a printing speed and the occurrence of the memory overflow. CONSTITUTION: A user selects an expanding ratio for printing the poster(200). A printing mode is changed to a raster mode(201). A bitmap of one original document is generated(202). The bitmap is divided into a constant number according to the expanding ratio(203). The divided bitmap is distributed to the constant number of pages(204). A printing instruction for expanding each bitmap to each page is transmitted to a printer(205). The printer executes the printing to fit to one page by extending and synthesizing each page(206).
