<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which is small, high in printing speed and can print a high quality image with little color slipping. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus forming a color image is provided with a photoreceptor belt conveyed by a driving device, a plurality of developing means forming a toner image on the photoreceptor belt and an intermediate transfer means onto which a toner image on the photoreceptor belt is transferred. The detecting position of a marker of a sensor detecting a plurality of markers formed on the intermediate transfer belt is set to the nip position between the intermediate transfer belt and the photoreceptor belt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
