POSITION DETECTING SYSTEM AND PORTABLE TERMINAL USED THEREFOR AND MANAGEMENT CENTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position detecting system which can guide not only a running state of a traveling member such as an automobile or the like but also a walker's route by accurately executing the route guide of a portable terminal moving on the route, and which can prevent the member from being deviated from a scheduled route.

SOLUTION: The position detecting system comprises a management center 1; radio base stations 21,..., 2N connected to the center 1 via a public channel network 4; and the portable terminal 3. The system communicates information between the center 1 and the terminal 3. The center 1 transmits the route to move the terminal 3 to the terminal 3. The terminal 3 calculates the position of the terminal 3 based on the signals from a plurality of GPS satellites, and maps the calculated position on the route transmitted from the center 1.
