PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified drain ditch mortar work execution method and a single piece of special ruler used in this method, which is used to repair concrete defects taking place after removing the form of a drain ditch and finish an adjusted floor surface adjacent the rise of the ditch, is free from troublesome problems such as waste material disposal, etc., and capable of constructing a drain ditch with accurate dimensions. SOLUTION: After removing the form of a drain ditch, this special ruler 4 is fixed with mortar on the bottom surface 2b and rise surface of the ditch, then inclined mortar 8a is applied and finished on the bottom surface 2b, and then inclined mortar work is finished on the adjusted floor surface 2d adjacent with the rise of the ditch. This work method can simplify necessary work operations. Fixing the special ruler 4 can determine the position of its upper horizontal end 4c and form the floor surface with accurate dimensions.
