PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel prevented from easily breaking down even when abnormal external force is applied to the edge of a moving barrel. SOLUTION: By providing a metallic reinforcing ring 8 on the inside of the edge of a 2nd cam barrel 7 existing near a follower pin 111, the deformation of a 1st lens barrel 11 is restrained when the external force is applied to the 1st lens barrel 11. A rib 3b is provided on the inner periphery of a fixed barrel 3 and ribs 4b and 4c are provided on the outer peripheral surface of a 1st cam barrel 4, and then the rib 3b is put between the ribs 4b and 4c.
