PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi fiber optical fiber holding member consisting of ceramic with high reliability, holding high optical coupling efficiency, and capable of being installed on a metal container. SOLUTION: The multi fiber optical fiber holding member 1 is substantially rectangular, and comprises a ceramic substrate 1a arranging a plurality of same-size circular through-holes 1b for inserting optical fibers respectively in substantially the center of a main face substantially parallel to a long side direction and at substantially regular intervals. The plurality of the through- holes 1b have 1μm or less in a deviation of the vertical direction of the center points thereof and a distance difference between the center points, respectively.
