PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shielding equipment wherein a shielding section around a joint connecting a passage for conveying a conveyance object containing a radioactive substance through its interior can be safely removed and maintenance and inspection work around the joint can be executed easily. SOLUTION: The shielding equipment covers the joint placed inside with a lid 4 disposed on a box body 1 in a state that openings of the lid 4 and the box body 1 are placed to face each other. A shielding frame 5 and a shielding lid 6 are respectively disposed on both ends of the box body 1 to cover pipes connected to the joint. A slotted flange plate 7 having a slot hole 7a is provided on an outer periphery of the shielding plate 5 and is fixed to the plate 5 by welding. The box body 1 is fastened to the slotted flange plate 7 by a stud bolt 10, a nut 11 and a bolt 12. By removing the bolt 12 and loosening the nut 11, the stud bolt 10 can be slid downward along the slot hole 7a, and the box body 1 is moved downward to form an opening between the lid 4 and the box body 1 so that the joint disposed inside is exposed.
