摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a radiation monitor which can prevent a malfunction of gain stabilizer which is to be caused by a factor other than the drift of a radiation detector, and which generates no radioactive waste when the detector is renewed. SOLUTION: In the radiation monitor, a reference peak value pulse generation source is installed in the radiation detector (1), and a reference peak distribution output from the detector is monitored, thereby adjusting the gain of a measuring system. Two peak value regions are set in the reference peak value distribution. A gain control means (100) is installed which outputs a control signal for gain adjustment in order to adjust the gain of the measuring system by comparison of pulse counting rates in both the peak value regions. When the sum of the pulse counting rates in both the peak value regions deviates from a prescribed range, the gain control means (100) fixes the control signal for gain adjustment to a value just before the deviation.
