PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detector for current sensor that can specify the type of the abnormal state of a current sensor. SOLUTION: The CPU 4a of a battery controller 4 is classified into any one of a normal mode (CLR) in which the states of the current sensor 3 and the power source circuit 4b of the current sensor are discriminated as normal; an abnormal mode (ISNG) in which at least either one of the sensor 3 and the circuit 4b is discriminated as abnormal; a limited control mode 1 (LIMIT1) in which running is sufficiently possible, by limiting a control range although the power source circuit 4d does not function normally; and another limited control mode 2 (LIMIT2) in which the running is sufficiently possible by limiting the control range although the current sensor 3 does not function normally, based on the sensor power supply voltage supplied from the power source circuit 4b to the current sensor 3 and the sensor output voltage of the sensor 3.
