PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a practical temperature measurement apparatus for measuring a temperature at a location apart from a display by using a non-electrical means and accurately operating even under a bad environment. SOLUTION: A waxing thermo element 2 is attached to one end of a long outer pipe 2 so as to outwardly orient a cup 3 and inwardly orient a piston rod 4 in the shaft center direction. The piston rod 4 is connected to the end of a long actuation rod 6 installed within the outer pipe 1. The actuation rod 6 is biased toward the waxing thermo element 2 by a coil spring 15 installed within the outer pipe 1. A marker 16 as a temperature index is provided near a tip of the actuation rod 6. A transparent window 17 is formed on a side wall of the outer pipe 1 corresponding to a part where the marker 16 is located. A temperature of a measured object can be measured by confirming a location of the marker 16 as the temperature index through the transparent window 17. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
