PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate a failure diagnosis to improve the service property by connecting a plurality of air conditioners to external equipment with wire saving. SOLUTION: This air conditioner with separate indoor machine and outdoor machine has a connecting means for connecting each of a central arithmetic processing part for controlling the outdoor machine and a central arithmetic processing part for controlling the indoor machine to the external equipment having arithmetic processing function through a signal line or by radio, so that interactive data communication is performed from both the outdoor machine and the indoor machine.
